I'm sure you have heard the saying, "A penny saved is a penny earned". While that may be true, I am also a firm believer that some deals are too good to pass up!
For example, did we really need to go to Maui for our honeymoon while we could have had a great time someplace closer to home? Probably not- but I found a great deal on travel, negotiated the rate of our condo and cut coupons in Maui to save on our meals out. In the end, was it worth it? You bet! Sometimes you need to take the plunge and invest in life, even if it requires you to give up some of those pennies you have been saving!
For this reason, I will not be writing solely about savings strategies, but also great deals and bargains so if you do decide to splurge a little, you can do it in a smart way.
Am I genius when it comes to investing money? No. Do I have any advanced degrees in money management? Sure don't! But hopefully you will find at least one bit of money-saving wisdom that helps you discover that it's not so bad to hand the store clerk a handful of coupons or to spend an extra five minutes searching for a coupon code before you place your online order.
